STBC Carols Night
Mark it in your diaries! Our annual Carols Night will be happening on Sunday, 3 December. We’ll be having a BBQ at 5.30pm, followed by carols at 6.30pm. All are welcome!
** Please note: Our Christmas Day worship service will be on Sunday, 24 December (there will be no service on Monday, 25 December) 🙂
This month STBC Youth went bowling for their end of year break-up! They have had a wonderful year of building friendships, having fun and exploring Truth. Thank you to our wonderful leaders who have served our youth, to the parents for driving out each week, and to the youth who have come along!
Youth has been on Friday nights during the school term, 7 – 9pm at the church, and for high school students up to the age of 17.
This year in Junior Church we have been looking at the names of God, and learning a little Hebrew and Greek along the way :). You’re invited to come along for a fun time with friends, learning how to read the Bible, as well as games, art, cooking, technology, and other avenues we use to learn about God and His Word. We look forward to seeing you for our last Junior Church for the yearon Sunday!
Men’s Coffee Morning takes place each fortnight (next one – 8 Dec). Come along for a coffee and conversation. Ideal for those who are retired or do shiftwork. It’s a wonderful time of connecting and encouraging one another. For more information, please contact the church office.
Ladies’ Catch-up & Outings
The ladies from STBC get together for outings at various venues around the city. Venues include Cafe63, Awassi Cheesery, The Chocolate Shop, Cobb & Co as well as other cafes and places. These outings build memories and are an opportunity to connect. Keep an eye on the Church Update for when the next outing is. In addition to these outings, coffee catch-ups coincide with the Men’s Coffee Morning (next one – 8 Dec). You’re invited to come along :).
Each month the young adults get together to hang out. In November they headed out to dinner as a final “hang” for the year. This ‘monthly hang’ is in conjunction with the YA weekly Bible Study. For more information, please contact the church office :).
Weekly Bible Studies are winding down for the year – a few more weeks to go! These groups are so important to the life of the church. If you haven’t joined a group yet, please speak to Sarah or Ps. Daniel. More information can also be found under the “Ministries” tab (Bible Study Groups). It’s an intentional way to draw closer to the Lord and connect with others.
STBC Islander Fellowship – Service in Pidgin
The Solomon Islands’ community holds a service at 11.30am each Sunday at the church. It is conducted in Pidgin and all are welcome 🙂 .
